Sherbourne Health Centre Community Mosaic Project

Welcome to our gallery of images from the Sherbourne Health Centre Mosaic Project.

Over the past two months, we've met with more than one hundred clients and program participants of the Sherbourne Health Centre. Together, we've brainstormed, told stories, and made art with a range of materials including oil pastel, mixed media, and foam plate printing on fabric and vellum. As you scroll down the page, you'll find a series of images produced by project participants.

This arts-based participatory research is what leads us to identifying themes and visual motif, and ultimately, the mosaic design. The draft design will be revealed on Monday March 14 at 7pm. All are welcome to offer feedback. We'll begin building the mosaic in April -- hours soon to be posted here! Everyone is welcome. Sherbourne Health Centre is a fully accessible building located just south of Carlton, at 333 Sherbourne Street
.

Red Dress Productions artistic leadership team includes lead artists Anna Camilleri and Tristan R. Whiston, and apprentices Heidi Cho, Rafaela Vidinha Dominici, Daniel Jelani Ellis, and Jay Stewart.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Sherbourne Health Centre, the Toronto Arts Council, Ontario Arts Council, and the Neighbourhood Arts Network.
